How would you build your attack drone part 3? You can read the first two parts (part I) (part II) A final stage of our drone is finally here! I’ve built it so it serves me pretty nice and kills others pretty nice too!
New Features of The Attack Drone
Here are all of the important aspects I will cover in this final tutorial. Every aspect in the list below will be covered in it’s own chapter. The drone is built without programming and is probably the last one built that way. It is in a way more multiplayer friendly considering some servers don’t allow scripts that run every second which is the least requirement for a working “scripted” drone.

- Ground-up Redesigned
- Self-Repair Armored Decoy system
- Detects and Track enemies
- Returns home after 1 hour to resupply
- Resumes it’s duties
- Light and Sound Warnings
- Dual Gatling Cannons
Well you can definitely see the difference from the last version. The look is the biggest one!
Redesign / Final Version (III)
Old Version of The Drone (II)
It has grown in size considerably, but it is now able to sustain itself quite a lot more thanks to the big “nose” front part.
Also I’ve added the connector to the back so the drone can dock itself to the home station. In the middle of the drone there are two medium cargo containers to carry the ammo and the steel plates.
Compactness of The Drone
I’ve tried packing it all into a very “function over form” philosophy. It’s all crammed in the middle as I’ve tried making the drone strongest when facing the enemy frontally, so everything is hidden behind the big nose.
Self-Repair Armored Decoy system
The big nose in the front is actually a decoy block encased in armor followed by a welder placed right behind it. This combination gives amazing results as it’s very difficult to destroy something that’s constantly being repaired by a welder.
Not only does the welder repair the damaged decoy block, but also the blocks in front of it because of it’s range, which goes almost 3 blocks in front of the decoy!
Detects and Track enemies
The drone is equipped with my good old “Auto Follow Drone” system. The cross holds the sensors for directions. The system’s workings is explained in detail in the above link.
Anyway, the drone starts to follow the enemy if it detect’s it in the sensor range. Proceeding to turn on the flashing light signals and the siren sound.
Returns Home After 1 Hour to Resupply
The drone is equipped with dual remote control blocks which enables it to have two different predefined routes (without the use of programming).
The timer block triggers 1 hour after the initial drone start and returns the drone home, docks it to the base and resupplies it. After 10 seconds it starts the patrol autopilot again.
Light and Sound Warnings
I’ve also added the sound and visual blinking red light warning, just for the show, I have to be honest!
Also following its predecessor it’s equipped with dual side mounted gatling cannons.

I hope you and me both learned something useful! The next drone coming will be featuring programming so better sharpen up your C# skills!
